Parent stock. Cuttings are taken from mature mother plants that flower and fruit every year over a 4.8-month season, with an expected yield of 8–10 kg per plant per year. Under good agronomic conditions, cuttings are expected to flower within 18 months, depending on planting time. Yields are expected, not guaranteed.

Default is collection from the farm near Bulawayo. Delivery is an optional extra, in and around Bulawayo or outside Bulawayo. It is not included in the cuttings price; the cost depends on quantity and distance and is quoted by WhatsApp or email, booked and paid separately.

How do pre-orders work?
Choose your variety and quantity in packages of 50 (minimum 50 per variety) and send your pre-order. We confirm and prepare your cuttings during the next cutting season.
How much do cuttings cost?
$7.50 USD per cutting: 50 cuttings = $375, 100 = $750, and so on in steps of 50.
When are cuttings available?
Cutting season is approx. April–July, during pruning. We don't cut while plants are flowering and fruiting. Pre-orders are open now for next season.
Which varieties do you sell?
Ruby Red (red flesh) and Vietnam White (white flesh).
How do I pay?
Cash, Bitcoin, PayPal, EcoCash or direct bank deposit. PayPal, EcoCash and bank details are provided on enquiry.
How should cuttings be handled on arrival?

Outgrower Programme — become a dragon fruit farmer
Outgrowers grow rooted plants in bags ($10 USD per plant, minimum 200). Applicants apply, then complete a $25 vetting consultation; packages are offered only to approved applicants. BDF provides a growing protocol and support, and buys the fruit for 12 years, subject to the terms below.

What is included
Plants
Rooted plants in bags, from productive parent stock that flowers every year. Time to first flowers is shorter than for cuttings. Low risk of plant loss.
Price and minimum
$10 USD per plant. Minimum 200 plants, in steps of 50. Offered only to approved applicants after vetting. Varieties: Ruby Red, Vietnam White.
Expected yield
8–10 kg per plant after 24 months under our full agronomic conditions. This is an expected figure, not a guarantee.
Replacement
A plant that dies is replaced at no cost if our care conditions were followed.

Certification
Covered under our GlobalG.A.P. certification as an outgrower, ready for export (subject to compliance).
Offtake
12 years. We buy your fruit, packed at our Bulawayo pack house, subject to quality, protocol compliance and distribution.

How it works
- Step 0: complete the pre-qualification questionnaire.
- Book and pay the $25 vetting consultation. Packages (200+ rooted plants at $10 per plant) are offered only to approved applicants after vetting. Sign the outgrower contract.
- Visit our farm, receive the growing profile, plant, and follow the protocol.
- Phone guidance and farm inspections (required for GlobalG.A.P. coverage). Dead plants replaced if care conditions were followed.
- Harvest. Fruit is packed at our Bulawayo pack house and bought by us for 12 years, subject to the terms.
